It is the world's largest monolith rising 862m out of the desert sands in the very heart of Australia. Depending on the time of day and the atmospheric conditions the rock can dramatically change colour,anything from blue to red. Approximately 500 million years ago it was part of the ocean floor and the Aboriginal people believe that a light source emanates from it at various times of the year. They also, believe it is hollow below ground wherein lives an energy source called "Tjukurpa" the "dream Time".The Anangu people believe Uluru is inhabited by dozens of ancestral beings whose activities are recorded at many sites.
There are physical features of some form at each ancestral site depicting the activities of the ancestral beings at the time of its formation as well as, the living essence of "Tjukurpa" within its physical features today. For Aboriginal people,the physical features of Uluru,animate or inanimate, is the "Tjukurpa".
The essence of Creation remains forever within the Rock and emanates from the Rock and the Ancientness of the sand.
This Heart Space is where all pathways of the Medicine Wheel will meet. From this Source emanates "Tjukurpa" which will flow out along the pathways to the four directions then up and out to ALL beings on Earth.
