Easter Weekend ~ March 21st - 24th, 2008
In Beautiful Painted Arrow's Sun-Moon Dance, we dance back and
forth to the Tree of Life which stands in the middle of the The Circle of Life (an arbour),
from Friday to Monday, all the while fasting from all food and
water. Fasting allows the Soul to die into wisdom. Dying into wisdom imbues the dancer
with Awareness, which is the Heart. When the heart is filled with Awarenessit is one
with God. It is blessed and imbued with Purity, Innocence and Awareness which is
God and carried by God. Dancers are able to go without food and water because God
carries the Dancer. The voice of the drum and the drummers are God's physical
helpers. They provide the food that sustains and uplifts the Dancers.
The sacred vibrations carry the Dancer ever closer to the Sacredness of their
own being, allowing them to slip between the slices of light. Prayerfulness
imbues the Dancer with Inspiration. A Dancer does not dance
just for their personal self, they dance for ALL their Relations so that ALL people
may live. They dance for Peace and Harmony to prevail in everything within
this perceptual reality.
